Under the Oceans Protection Plan, the Government of Canada has ensured the Canadian Coast Guard has the equipment it needs to respond to potential oil spill incidents along our coastlines in a timely and efficient manner.

This equipment includes Aqua-Guard's RBS TRITON^TM oil skimming systems which are on constant standby and can be deployed quickly to recover oil in protected waters and the interior spaces of small vessels. 

To date, CCG has procured the following equipment from Aqua-Guard:

46 x RBS TRITON^TM 20 Oil Skimming Systems

67 x RBS TRITON^TM 60 Oil Skimming Systems

Each system includes a dedicated skimmer head (c/w brush, drum and disc recovery modules), a diesel/hydraulic power pack, an oil transfer pump, a custom aluminum storage box and all vital accessories.

In addition, 36 separate standalone diesel/hydraulic power packs/oil transfer pumps have been procured from Aqua-Guard for operations outside of oil skimming.
