Aqua-Guard’s new inshore RBS-TRITON™ skimmer line a great success at the IOSC - New Orleans

We would like to thank everyone for visiting us at the International Oil Spill Conference (IOSC) last week in New Orleans. It was great reconnecting with old friends and getting acquainted with new ones. The show had a fantastic turnout for Aqua-Guard, showcasing our newest technologies.

Since 1992, Aqua-Guard is proud to have collaborated with industry leaders to help continually improve our Oil Spill Response and Recovery Technology.   Listening and collaborating with these leaders is how we all progress to help create cleaner waters ways around the globe for all.   A special thanks to these leaders for supporting Aqua-Guard for these 30+ years.

At the IOSC, Aqua-Guard received great interest in our new line of smaller skimmers, the RBS TRITON™10 (11.0 mᶟ/h recovery) and RBS TRITON™20(20.4 mᶟ/h recovery). These skimmers were specifically designed for the Canadian Coast Guard to meet their exact size, weight and recovery requirements.

Following an international, open and competitive process, the Canadian Coast Guard awarded Aqua-Guard Spill Response Inc three (3) separate contracts. Since 2018, Aqua-Guard has become the primary oil skimmer supplier to CCG with the supply of one-hundred and twenty-nine (129) oil skimming systems ranging in applications from skimming inside vessel's hulls to shorelines, lakes, rivers, harbours and onboard vessels.

As each of our skimmers is designed and manufactured in-house, we can fully customize for customers requirements. Our skimmer range runs from our smallest 11 mᶟ/h (weighing less than 15 kg / 33 lb) that was on display at the show, to our mid sized RBS-TRITON 150OS and largest offshore 600 m3/h URO systems. 

Our Brush, Disc and Drum recovery modules are completely interchangeable without the use of tools providing the end user recovery of light, medium and heavy oils. Our sheen recovery module, currently in development as part of NRCan’s Oil Spill Challenge, is targeted to be market ready by early to mid-2025.  All skimmer testing is certified by DNV (Det Norske Veritas) / ABS (American Bureau Services) and witnessed to ASTM standards.
