Aqua-Guard Wins 2025 Innovation Award

North Vancouver, BC – Aqua-Guard Spill Response Inc. is proud to announce that it has been named the Winner of the 2025 North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Innovation Award, recognizing the company’s leadership in advancing marine environmental protection technology.

For over 33 years, Aqua-Guard has designed and manufactured world-class oil spill response equipment used in 105 countries across the globe. This award highlights the groundbreaking success of Aqua-Guard’s newest advancement: the CFSH (Carbon Fibre Super-Hydrophobic) Oil Sheen Recovery System.

The CFSH system solves one of the most persistent global challenges in oil spill response—mechanically recovering thin oil sheens, traditionally considered “unrecoverable.” Through extensive R&D, in-house engineering and daily prototype testing, the CFSH system has achieved unprecedented results, including a 99.993% oil-to-water recovery efficiency in ASTM-certified testing.

The technology is scalable, retrofittable and effective in confined, shallow or sensitive environments. It fills a critical gap long identified by responders, government agencies and industry.
