About Aqua-Guard

Corporate Social Responsibility

Since 2003, Aqua-Guard’s owners and staff have been involved in many endeavours to help create a just and sustainable world.  Aqua-Guard's family feel that it is very important to help give back both to our immediate and global communities.  Some charities we support on an ongoing basis are listed below:

Covenant House Exec sleep out & Champions Sleepout:  Aqua-Guard founder Nigel Bennett  slept out for the 9th year in a row on the cold and wet street in a Vancouver alley in support of the Homeless Youth of Vancouver.

Over the past 9 years donors have supported Nigel with over $250,000 for Covenant house and Vancouver's at risk youth. Collectively we have raised over $9,000,000 (since 2015).

Pacific Salmon Foundation;  Helping protect Pacifc salmon.

GIFTADD.com: Aqua-Guard's founder Nigel Bennett with his son Devon along with Kevin Lawrence (coachkevin.com); Sue Hollis and her son Jake have founded GIFTADD.com;  An organization that is shining a positive light on the "Gift" of ADD and Dyslexia.

TruBeach APP: Aqua-Guard founders developed an APP to help protect our oceans and beaches.
Aqua-Guard’s founders have developed an app called Trubeach (www.trubeach.co) which allow beachgoers and volunteers to post reviews of what they see and do to help bring awareness to the true condition of our global coastlines.  The founders of Aqua-Guard along with family and friends also volunteer to help clean provincial beaches.

Surfrider Foundation: Aqua-Guard supports the Surfrider Foundation - Since it's inception in 1984, the Surfrider Foundation has evolved into one of the largest non-profit grassroots organizations dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's ocean, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.

Oceana: Aqua-Guard became supporters of Oceana, founded in 2001, the largest international organization focused solely on ocean conservation.  The oceans are in crisis from overfishing, acidification and habitat destruction. Oceana works internationally to alleviate these and other problems through policy-oriented campaigns.

Homes of Hope: Aqua-Guard founders (Nigel Bennett and Sue Willis), staff and families lead their 18th trip to Ensenada Mexico to help build homes for the homeless.  Aqua-Guard's founders and staff have been supporting the  "Homes of Hope" program in Mexico for over 13 years leading over 700 volanteers from around North America to help make a difference in many families lives.  see video link:  https://vimeo.com/67016731

Since 2007 - Aqua-Guard made a paradigm shift in its corporate vision and mission and asked the question—Why do we do what we do? The answer was simple, yet powerful, “To protect the world’s most precious resource, water".
